The Arnold House Ski Trip to the Hotel Eiger, Murren started warm and finished
hot with unseasonably early spring weather. There was enough snow for the week
although we couldn't quite ski back to the hotel. The snowline was moving up the
mountain rapidly and it was t-shirt skiing with wall-to-wall sunshine after a
dull first morning.
On the last day the Arnold House Giant Slalom Championships took place up on the
lower slopes of
the Almendhubel, where James O'Dea took first prize in fine style from Callum
Zehner and Ben Gunn - a surprise outsider.
It was a memorable week and the first to be recorded on this, the OASIS Ski
